We wholeheartedly welcome everyone to embark on a delightful culinary journey rich in culture and flavour with us. We cherish and celebrate the beautiful facet of life that eating is one of the most multi-sensorial experience. The mantra of our venture is to enhance this experience while acknowledging that the act of preparing, offering, and consuming food constitutes one of the summum bonums for a good life – nourishing the soul, body and mind holistically. We are here to make good food mantra a life mantra for the community. Like a mantra is a phrase that is repeated on a regular basis to help shift mindset towards goodness and positivity; likewise, ‘Food Mantra’ is a venture that brings freshly cooked, healthy, wholesome delectable cuisines that clients will seek to savour repeatedly for their well-being.

We are here to bring to the community a restaurant that preserves the essence of rich mouth-watering Indian and Hakka popular dishes in a simple, heart- warming, beautiful, cozy and positive ambiance. Apart from authentic Indian and Hakka dishes, the restaurant also serves special Assamese delicacies in the weekends. The Assamese community is a strong and growing community in Canada and this seems to be the first restaurant in North America to serve Assamese food commercially. The community is well known for their love, fondness and celebration of good food. Also, we hope to introduce to the world the unexplored hidden gems of Assamese cuisine that is distinct for its ability to taste good despite the usage of minimal spices and oil. Its earthy and rustic scent is truly inviting to all food lovers. Green leafy vegetables and herbs are commonly used. The dishes are filled with medicinal properties, very healthy, well balanced, unique in taste and most importantly very tempting. By sharing food narratives and decorations, we have created a platform for the uninitiated to visualize the rich Assamese culture and heritage. We will do our best to bring the flavours of Assam to those living thousands of miles away from their homeland and in the process add to the multicultural mosaic of Canada.
